Lake District Bed and Breakfast Coniston

Browside is set on the hillside at the foot of Coniston Old Man, in beautiful gardens with wonderful Lakeland views overlooking Coniston Water towards Grizedale Forest and the Ambleside fells.  

Situated only 1.5 miles from Coniston village and 1/2 mile to the nearest pub, there is no need even to use your car when staying at our Lake District bed and breakfast in Coniston. Our purpose built guest house offers all day access, with guests given their own door keys and private front door.  

We have many excellent footpaths from the door of our Lake District bed and breakfast in Coniston, including a new lakeshore path to Coniston, or for keen walkers a direct path up Coniston Old Man.  We have lake cruises, pony trekking, cycle hire, canoeing and historic houses nearby.  There are also very good bar meals available at our local pubs. 

Little Arrow is a peaceful area, perfect for touring the Lake District villages and picturesque valleys. Hawkshead village is only 15 minutes away, Ambleside 25 minutes and Grasmere 35 minutes.  For shopping we are half way between Kendal and Barrow-in-Furness, both only 45 minutes away.

You can sit out in the garden of our Lake District bed and breakfast and enjoy the lovely views and wildlife, watch the cows, sheep and chickens in the fields, or the many birds visiting our bird table.

We have a very good AA rating of 4 diamonds, which reflects the friendly service, quality produce and value for money we offer.

We work very hard to provide clean comfortable accommodation which is non-smoking throughout.   We aim to please! 

We have ample private parking and safe storage for cycles, as well as a drying room "just in case!".
